This web site was set up because under the New Zealand government system, the New Zealand Police are only answerable to themselves. I myself have witnessed first hand the fraud known as "The Police Complaints Authority" and I found, on that occasion, that the only reason the policeman came to interview us was to get his mate officer, out of trouble. Deliberate attempts were made to bury the truth.

After making this suggestion to my email list I've just had the biggest return of email on one subject I've ever had. I cannot ignore this response. Out of my email a grand total of 90% came up so far with "Police complaints web site. YES PLEASE"

Well let the fraud end right here! If you have a complaint involving any one of the following government departments, please follow the required procedure on the terms and conditions page terms&conditions and your complaint will be placed on this site as soon as it is possible for me to do so. I would ask you to at lease make an attempt to use the government supplied police complaints procedure before contacting me, as at worst this will give you some documents to provide as your evidence.

To help both me and yourself please from now on carry at all times your camera and tape recorder as you will need a witness. What do I need as evidence in the first instance? The basic story, eg. the incident and the officers responses and names, rank, serial number, number plate, the date and whereabouts witness names if any. Begin to train yourself to become observant. Any photo or sound track of an incident will be used as evidence on this site.

Camera : a digital camera would be best as photos can be downloaded right to me. or even a cheap chuck-away camera will do I'll scan the photo.
Small tape and best with a plug-in lapel mic is best ... (this way they don't know ... most times if a cop knows he has been recorded he will take your property and destroy it on the spot) ... however anything that can evidence your case is better than nothing.

In my effort to be fair and to be seen to be fair, I intend to provide a page where any government officer shows exceptional kindness and understanding whilst doing their duty this is where an officer went that EXTRA mile to make the situation better. This officer can also have his/her name in print.

In further efforts to be fair, any government officer named on this site is free to advance his/her rendition of the incident to me to be posted with the story. If the officer fails or refuses to advance his/her rendition of the incident, there will be a 'No Comment' added.
