When Garbage Pail Kids first came out, my brother and I weren't allowed to get them which
explains the serious deficiency in 1st and 2nd series cards. Once we finally convinced
our mom that any cool kid had to have Garbage Pail Kids, I bought my first pack
which was from the 3rd series. From then on, we collected 4th and 5th series like
everyone else (by the way, those cards are so bent up from our grimy little kid hands).
Then GPKs started losing popularity (in the eyes of a loser, maybe), so I couldn't
collect any because they weren't in the stores. Then, we came across 15th series at a
KayBee toy store, so I've been trying ever since to collect the cards in between. Card
stores had some older series, but their stock of GPK's has been dwindling. It's been
a challenge getting the cards I have, but with ebay it's
become easier.
Below are the cards I still need (The count in parenthesis are reprints or error cards). I'm only shooting for the US collection. Foreign cards and toys are not worth the trouble or money.
