This is the Tamiya BMW Roadster. It is an electric car with a rear wheel drive configuration. Powered by a Mabuchi 540 stock motor, this model was surprisingly quick out of the box. Unfortunately the handling was very twitchy, the rear end was too loose.
The second upgrade was to replace the rear tires with Tamiya's Type B slicks. This dramatically made the car very easy to handle, even with the speed of modified motors.
To see how fast this car can go, in went an HPI 12 turn modified motor controlled by a Tekin P12 electronic speed controller. The car was now very, very quick, estimated top speed of around 60 kph. SOLD
