single-mindedness with one goal. Emotional, physical or intellectual obstructions to forward movement must be eliminated. Function is total only beyond system. System, or style, limits.
To perceive clearly, discard styles, schools, methods, prejudices, likes and dislikes. Only then will your mind cease comparison and conflict and see totally and freshly.
Similarly in action, an unconventional approach, delivered with broken rhythm, shall overwhelm resistances of rhythmical and classical approach. Be empty. Have no style or form for the resistance to work on.
Hack away inessentials. Good form is simply and only the most efficient and immediate manner to accomplish your present purpose.
Technique ritualistically applied to overcome resistance is futile. Resistance is not fixed, but fluid.
Accomplishment then requires simplification and freedom of action. Ignore patterns, styles, even ideals.
Formlessness can assume all forms. Stylelessness can assume all styles. Use all ways and be bound by none.
Penetrate the complex. Go to the heart. Pinpoint the key factors. Do not beat around the bush. Do not take detours. Follow a straight line to the objective.
Approach accomplishment by mastering the will. Forget winning and losing. Forget pride and pain. If resistance threatens, overwhelm it. Do not be concerned with safety. Put your reputation, your everything on the line. When resistance comes, a good offense is the best defense. Reacting rather than acting is not freedom of action.
As resistance approaches, the achiever sometimes feels weak. This is not weakness, but inner strength. It is preparedness for confrontation. Euphoria is a sign of poor readiness. Do not anticipate the outcome. Let events take their course.
If you perceive clearly, you will know what to do at the right moment.
